Real-Time Pipeline Dashboard

How We Helped a Trade Business Boost Their Sales Performance with Smart Technology

When it comes to running a successful trade business, keeping track of leads and managing customer relationships is just as important as delivering quality work. Recently, we worked with a client who was using Simpro for job management but needed more robust tools to monitor their sales performance and grow their business value before putting it on the market.

While Simpro was handling the day-to-day job management effectively, our client found themselves missing opportunities due to limited customer relationship management (CRM) capabilities. They needed a clearer way to track leads and ensure no potential business slipped through the cracks.

Our solution was to create two custom dashboards that transformed how they managed their sales pipeline. The first dashboard focuses on daily operations, providing a crystal-clear view of leads and quotes that need following up. Gone are the days of leads getting lost in email inboxes or sticky notes – now, everything is visible in one place.

The second dashboard takes a broader view, showing vital information about conversion rates across different lead sources. This insight helps our client understand which marketing channels are delivering the best return on investment, allowing them to make smarter decisions about where to focus their efforts.

To make the system even more effective, we integrated it with Slack, the communication platform they were already using. Now, relevant team members receive automatic reminders about follow-ups directly through Slack, ensuring nothing gets missed.

The result? A more organised, efficient sales process that’s helping our client build additional value in their business ahead of a future sale. It’s a perfect example of how the right technology, properly implemented, can make a real difference to a trade business’s bottom line.

This project shows that you don’t need to replace systems that are working well – sometimes, you just need to enhance them with the right tools to take your business to the next level.
